Melanie was born and raised in Bucks County and she and her husband are proud to be raising their children here as well. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from The College of New Jersey where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She worked as a legal assistant in patent, trademark and copyright law for 7 years and also has work experience in elementary education and office management. She utilizes her strong communication and organizational skills from these positions in her real estate career.
Her great-grandfather started in Philadelphia real estate in the 1920s and several family members including Melanie followed in his footsteps. She is conscientious, hardworking, and pays careful attention to detail. She believes in teamwork and her goal for every client is to utilize her professional skills and experience to achieve the best outcome. She values continuing education and is pursuing her broker’s license while also holding the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designations. Sitting on the Board of Directors for the Bucks County Association of Realtors and on the Board of Trustees for the Bucks County Real Estate Institute allows her to stay current in industry trends and best practices.
Community involvement is a priority for Melanie. She serves on the Deep Run Valley Sports Association Board of Directors and also participates in the various endeavors of the Bucks County Association of Realtors Reach-Out committee. Volunteering with her daughter in their parish’s food pantry will always have a special place in her heart.
When she’s not working Melanie has fun spending time with her family, friends and two yellow labs, cheering on all the Philly sports teams, exercising, reading, listening to music, swimming, and relaxing on the Wildwood Crest beach.

The last time my husband and I bought a home was almost 40 years ago, so looking for a new place was a daunting task. When we decided to downsize, I started to attend open houses, which is where I met Melanie over 2+ years ago. As I looked around, another potential buyer was peppering her with questions about the property. I noticed her calm, friendly demeanor and how she answered what she knew and took contact information to get answers that she didn't have. I had a few questions of my own, so she researched them and contacted me.The rest, as they say, is history. Melanie is a consummate professional with superior communication skills. She is conscientious and caring, organized, detail-oriented, warm, funny and patient. She's knowledgeable and able to explain the more complicated aspects of the home buying process in terms even we could understand. We had a few really disappointing times when prospects fell through, but Melanie always kept a positive attitude, even as she offered her sincere sympathy. Nothing was too much trouble.As we settle into our new home, we feel blessed that Melanie came into our lives at the right time to guide us through this nerve-racking, emotional but ultimately rewarding undertaking. We wanted to share with you our incredible experience working with Melanie Rush.Melanie is not only an exceptional real estate professional; she is also an exceptional person.When we first met with Melanie regarding our new home search, we gave her our list of ‘must haves,’ another list of preferences, and a third list of what our ‘dream home’ would include. And we told her we were in no hurry to move. She has persistently and patiently focused on the ‘dream home’ list, and that’s the home she led us to.Throughout this process, Melanie has also gotten to know us personally. Again, she remembered little things we mentioned when she accompanied us to showings, and focused on those little personal preferences in the homes we toured.Amazingly, Melanie committed our wish list to her memory, and was checking those boxes off in her mind as a colleague at Class-Harlan (Kimberly Weinhold) was describing a new listing recently at a sales meeting. We settled on that house on Monday, and are moving in a few weeks.We haven’t bought a home in several years, and Melanie guided us through every step of the process, providing clear information and advice. She never missed a single detail, and promptly followed through on any question or request.Now that we have our new home, we’re turning to the task of selling our current home. Based on the strong market and sales in our neighborhood, we considered selling it on our own. However, based on our experience working with Melanie, we have signed on for her to list our home.
